TOP 10 HEALTHY RESTAURANTS IN PORTLAND BY ANDREA WEST

We all want to eat healthy, but not all of us have the time to hand-craft a meal from scratch night after night. And, lucky for us, that’s where these Portland-area restaurants come into play.

We took a look at some of the highest-rated healthy restaurants in Portland, according to Yelp reviews. In order to land high up on the list, Yelp analyzed data from both the number of stars the users gave the restaurants and the number of actual ratings a restaurant received. In other words, if a place had a 5-star review but only two reviews, then it got pushed further down the list.
Without further ado, here are the Top 10 healthy restaurants in Portland, according to Yelp:

10. NATIVE BOWL

4233 N MISSISSIPPI AVE. • 503-330-7616
4.5 star rating, 119 reviews
With dishes like The Hollywood (lemon garlic tahini sauce, grilled garbanzo beans, red cabbage, pita chips, pepperoncinis and scallions on a bed of jasmine rice), you’ll hardly miss the meat at this vegetarian restaurant. What’s more, this spot also uses locally made tofu and soymilk from Ota Tofu, as well as soy curls from Butler Foods in Grand Ronde.

9. LAUGHING PLANET CAFÉ

Next up on the ranking of the top healthy restaurants in Portland is The Whole Bowl, a vegetarian restaurant that literally only serves one thing. Their signature dish contains brown rice, sour cream olives, avocado, cilantro, tali sauce, cheddar cheese, salsa, and black and red beans. Simple and delicious!

5. GARDEN BAR

Salads go into overdrive at this leafy green spot. Choose between ordering off the menu, or opt to make your own at this creative salad bar.

1. PRASAD

4.5 star rating, 453 reviews
Number 1 on this list is the Pearl District eatery Prasad. With names for dishes like the Dragon Bowl, what’s not to love about this creative eatery? What’s also neat about this restaurant is that it’s located inside Yoga Pearl, hence the table tents reminding everyone to “speak mindfully” since massage, meditation and yoga is in session.
